Religious Education

Religious Education Catechist

Aid in the Christian formation of our children by sharing your own Catholic faith with them by leading a religious education class. Class sessions are held Sundays from 10:15A.M. –11:15A.M., September – May.

Substitute Catechist

Help children grow in the Catholic faith by being a substitute catechists and filling in for our K-5 catechists on Sunday mornings when they are unable to lead their session.

Catechist Support

Support our catechists by providing prayer, notes, and nourishment during month training sessions and end-of-the-year dinner.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Presenters, musicians, and assistants are needed to maintain and expand Children’s Liturgy of the Word. This program is an opportunity for children grades K-4 to hear and speak about the Good Shepherd’s love as they reflect on the Scripture of the day, say the Creed and have Intercessory Prayer. Available during the 9A.M. mass, and with support, will be expanded to the 11:30A.M. mass.

Community Service Projects
Help plan, organize and implement a parish-wide service project. One service project is scheduled each semester in place of religious education sessions giving parents and children an opportunity to serve together.

Generations-of-Faith
Help plan, organize, and implement whole community catechesis events where all parishioners join together for a large-group faith formation followed by small groups with age-appropriate activities. This year we are piloting these events once a semester focusing on the seasons of Advent and Lent.

Office/Administrative Support
Assemble bulk mailing, photocopying, etc.

Event Support
Support RE events (ex. Saint-of-the-Month Parties, Vacation Bible School, Family Fun activities, etc.)
